The Krishna Lodge is wonderful look like place. This place looks great from outside, and its okay kind of place inside when compared to other lodges. But I should say that the Manager there was a friendly person and very willing to help and guide.
Krishna Lodge apart which are of lower standards but perfectly decent. Home stays abound, you will see signs for home stays everywhere. These are better options. Some of the tea estates offer their bungalows on rent but prices are on the higher side. If you do not have your own car or taxi, then it is better to be in Valparai where you can easily get public buses, autos and taxis to move around.
